Supply Excellence

Supply Excellence: Coming to a Town near You. No, Really. We Are.

May 1st, 2006 · by Tim Minahan · 2 Comments · best practices, events, supply management

In an effort to bring supply excellence to you, I have embarked on a month-long, global tour to sit down with hundreds of supply management executives. The goal? Create an open forum to discuss the challenges facing supply management executives today and to identify the best practices for strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract and supplier management.

Most of the dates will be part of intimate, town-hall-like forums for supply management executives. I will also be attending major industry events. And I’ll be making private visits to select supply management organizations along the way.

Check my schedule for more information on events near you. If you’re in the neighborhood, I encourage you to stop by. If not, don’t worry. I’ll be sharing the trials, tribulations, and best practices in these pages:

    Dear Tim,

If possible please extend your world tour to Bangalore, India. I have 100+ ardent followers of your research here in my campus who would benefit from the visit.

We will gladly host you at our campus resort.

Unfortunately, Bangalore is not current on my world tour itinerary. However, India is fast becoming a center of procurement operations excellence, providing support for spending analysis, market analysis, and procurement execution activities for some of the world’s largest enterprises. I anticipate that these issues will require me to pay a visit to better understand the infrastructure and performance of India procurement outsourcing operators. Stay tuned.
